Day 1

Ok time to clean out the trash out of my cup boards.no more cookies no white pasta all the caned pastas.
I know the food pantries in need so it works out great!! Shopping at the local grocery store was tough to work through my old ways of ohh that looks good and toss it in my cart. But I am sick of being sick battling the fight of the pant size being called fatty and the nick name fluffy! I hate going to my mothers to see her overbearing sexist boyfriend. To him I have no name it is Hogget! At least she calls me by my real name. After alot of soul searching and forgiveness I am ready to take the steps to get healthy.I used to turn to food for comfort.I was abused as a child very few people knew the hell I went though.I found God and I found food all in the same year.easiest way to put it. I want to change my life not just for myself but for my family and everyone who has ever doubted me. Bare with me I attend to get side tracked at times.I am currently 5`9 and weight a whooping 272 lbs.I have watched the Biggest Loser and read all of Jillian Micheal's books. After talking it over with my doctor and a dietitian I am taking this on head first. No more junk, fried foods chips brownies, cookies and milk no more food that is over processed MSG and high rutose syrup filled.I should have started eating healthy when I would feed my son.I only got him the best and healthiest foods.Fresh veggies and fruits whole grain pastas I never gave him soda or fried anything of the sorts.I was asked Amber why don't you eat healthy as well? I guess I was so big on only having the best for my son I neglected myself.
So I started today made a menu and a work out plan I also plan on blogging about it.A day by day step by step glance.also to see where I was and where I hope to become! I had a half a cup of Kashis Go Lean Crunch (a serving size is a cup at 190 calories) so a half serving brings it to 95 calories. I also being adventurous got a SO Delicious Cultured Coconut Milk Raspberry Yogurt it is 150 calories I
am not lactose intolerant but I love coconut and if I like it then I will get more. its baby steps that all I can say. I did the 2 cup of water rule.(drink two cups of water before each meal) I ended up not being able to finish breakfast...Not that it was bad it was in fact very good really great blend the nuttiness from the Kashi and the tropical coconut taste and sweet raspberry's was almost like eating desert. After running around I did not have time for lunch so when I got home I did a "better choice" I grabbed a piece of roasted chicken Deli style roasted chicken and 5 baby carrots to hold me over till supper. Salmon with dill and lemon a piece of marinaded mozzarella on top of a sweet potato. Not bad I should buy more salmon it is not as fishy as I was worried about. Salmon is High in omega 3 fatty acids. The sweet potato is loaded with vitamins and the mozzarella is marinated in olive oil red pepper flakes garlic a dash of sea salt and basil.the Mozzarella melted oh so nice and gave the sweet potato some extra flavor. well I am off to go do the Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred!
